The Evolving Discourse on Job Quality From Normative Frameworks to Measurement Indicators: The Indian Example


Sabina Dewan, President and Executive Director and Divya Prakash, Research Associate with of Just Jobs Network write a Working Paper commissioned by Azim Premji University. This paper highlights the evolving discourse of job quality and how it fits the Indian context.

The paper argues that international broad frameworks of measuring job quality might not fit the heterogenous labor markets of developing countries and how economic mobility is a key component of the measurement.
