The availability of good jobs on the scale that India requires is one of our biggest challenges. To understand the jobs crisis of the country today and to help address this challenge, the JustJobs Network (JJN) and the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) are launching a new partnership to generate new, innovative and fresh ideas to help shaping the narrative and action on jobs in the country.
JustJobs Network, in collaboration with the Centre for Policy Research, identifies geographies in India and Indonesia that are simultaneously experiencing high levels of in- and out- migration. Beyond mapping these “migration junctions,” the authors suggest what particular policy frameworks may be needed to promote migrant well-being in these contexts.
Constituting over 90% of enterprises in most countries, micro, small and medium enterprises can augment a nation’s economy. JustJobs Index works with GIZ to examine the types of innovative small businesses and recommends ways to promote them.
