About Us

Building an inclusive world of work

VISION

A world of work where everyone has agency, security, and dignity.

MISSION

Provide rigorous research to underpin effective public policy and governance of labour markets toward inclusive economic growth, thriving businesses, and empowered workers.

WHO WE ARE

The JustJobs Network is an applied research organization finding evidence-based solutions to one of the most pressing challenges of our time: How to promote better work in a rapidly changing 21st – century economy? We produce research on good job creation and workforce development, focusing our work on the critical knowledge gaps in the employment landscape.

JustJobs convenes a global network of diverse stakeholders—including policy shapers, academics, and grassroots leaders — to deepen the practical implications of our research endeavors and amplify their impact. Through the combination of cutting-edge research and global knowledge sharing, we aim to forge a fresh, dynamic channel for policy dialogue on employment at national, regional and international levels. Our team members are based in New Delhi and Washington, D.C.

OUR PRINCIPLES
  • A new doctrine of employment-based growth is essential to rescue economies from soaring inequality and dwindling opportunity. Work that provides appropriate remuneration and opportunities for upward mobility creates sustained demand, dynamic economies, and shared prosperity.
  • Forces including technological transformation, climate change, and the energy transition are restructuring labour markets. Governments must respond with new frameworks to help workers and businesses adjust to a rapidly changing world of work.
  • State capacity, effective governance, and sound implementation are key to delivering scaled-solutions to the most pressing employment challenges.
  • Trade need not pit workers and businesses against each other. A trading regime based on supply chains that prioritise quantity and quality of employment can renew the promise of global integration and raise living standards worldwide.
  • The risks and costs of unjust employment are borne disproportionately by vulnerable and marginalised groups including women, youth, and migrants. Strategies for creating quality employment must take into account the specific needs of these communities.
  • A capitalism that is both economically viable and morally sound depends on investing in people through education and training, labour and social protections, within and across borders.
WHO WE WORK WITH

We leverage our collective strength, networks, and voice to provide real solutions to labor market challenges.
