As part of Centre for Policy Research’s ‘Policy Challenges-2019-2024: The Big Questions for the New Government and Possible Pathways’, Sabina Dewan, President and Executive Director of JustJobs Network and Senior Visiting Fellow, Centre for Policy Research writes a piece on addressing India’s employment crisis.
The JustJobs Network team has collaborated with the Future of Work in the Global South, to examine the platform economy workers in the global South. The findings and recommendations of this paper aim to improve policymakers’ access to data on platform economy work and, second, on using that information to design integrated systems of taxation and social protection and develop appropriate legal definitions of platform services and workers.

The Centre for Economic and Social Development (CESD), collaborating with JJN in an ongoing research project on Inclusive Industrialisation for ASEAN which focuses on the global value chain hosted a research workshop in Myanmar to present the initial findings of the project to local stakeholders involved in the garment sector.
